Nakambe Safari, Wildlife Reserve, Trust and Afforestation Carbon Credit project, Ghana, West Africa

Nakambe wildlife reserve are proud to present the proposed USD$184 million project

Nakambe Safari, Wildlife Reserve & Carbon Credit Project, Ghana, West Africa

Nakambe Wildlife Reserve is an comprehensive, multi-tiered conservation and eco-tourism initiative launched in partnership with the Forestry Commission .With a strategic pre-construction start in November 2026, which aligns with Ghana’s forecasted GDP growth of 5.4% and renewed national emphasis on sustainability, tourism, and biodiversity.

The project integrates wildlife reintroduction, Safari experience, carbon-sequestering afforestation, and a luxury hospitality experience all contributing to long-term economic and environmental impact. Rebuilding Ghana’s forests, protecting endangered species, empowering communities, and capturing carbon for a better world.

The promoters, Nakambe Wildlife Reserve Limited a UK registered company, supported by Monroe Mills Inc, propose to offer a superior quality private Endangered Species Wildlife Conservation Reserve and Tourism Facilities for the international market in Ghana, West Africa. Through the establishment of a high-end, ultra-modern Reserve.

Nakambe Wildlife Reserve, in partnership with the Forestry Commission and supported by the Ghana Tourism Authority, proudly presents a phased USD $184 million initiative to develop a world-class endangered species conservation reserve and luxury safari destination. Set within the 325 km² Kalakpa Resource Reserve (KRR) in Southeastern Ghana. One of the last intact bush savannahs in West Africa, the project will unfold over five years.

This visionary initiative combines biodiversity protection, carbon credit afforestation, and high-end eco-tourism. KRR lies approximately 100 km northeast of Accra and 20 km south of Ho, traversed by the Kalakpa River and multiple southward-flowing streams. Visitors will enjoy exclusive year-round access to the reserve through guided safaris, a luxury lodge, spa, restaurant, fire-pit lounge, and 20 secluded 5-star villas offering panoramic lagoon, river, and savannah views under expansive African skies.

National Benefits for Ghana

For the Government of Ghana, Nakambe delivers clear, tangible benefits:
• Foreign Direct Investment (FDI): Over USD 184 million will be invested across three phases.
• Employment: More than 1,000 jobs will be created, including 250 construction jobs and 500+ permanent roles.
• Carbon Revenues: Certified carbon credits are projected to generate USD 10–13M annually, of which a share flows directly to the Forestry Commission and community beneficiaries.
• Branding: Ghana becomes the leading destination for conservation tourism in West Africa, aligning with the “Destination Ghana” campaign.
• Policy Alignment: Supports Ghana’s REDD+ commitments, the Paris Agreement, and multiple Sustainable Development Goals.

Unlike typical FDI projects, Nakambe provides not only jobs and tax revenue, but also international recognition as a conservation leader. This elevates Ghana’s global profile and builds a legacy project aligned with government policy priorities.
